Vintages Armagnacs
Armagnac is the oldest “eau-de-vie” of France.
It has needed 3 different cultures to give birth to the Armagnac.
First of all the Romans who brought to us the vineyard.
Then the Arabs who invented the “Alambic”.
Finally the Celts who made the barrels.
The land for Armagnac is divided into three parts: Ténareze, Bas Armagnac, and Haut Armagnac.
Le Domaine de Magnaut is in Ténarèze.
ARMAGNAC ? Armagnac is obtained by the distillation of white wine in an Armagnac Alambic
during winter.
We can distil various types of grapes: Baco, la Folle blanche, l’Ugni blanc.
For the Domaine de Magnaut, Pierre TERRAUBE chooses the grape called « Ugni-Blanc » to produce its Vintage Armagnacs.
